Responsibilities:

• Recording and organizing customer garments.
• Working effectively with co-workers.
• Operating store when managers are absent. Some transferrable skills include:
• problem-solving (resolving potential issues with customers by making concessions), and
• customer service.

Part of the York Catholic District School Board’s initiative to advocate inclusiveness. This position involves aiding the lead instructors, teachers, and students in establishing a safe and productive environment. Some transferrable skills obtained include:

• organization skills
• micromanagement
• analytical skills with Microsoft Excel. Performing data analyses such as:
• retrieving student information (with xlookup),
• calculating enrollment quantity for each language (indicating job availability for teachers),
• determining trends in attendance (how inclined students are to learn a new language).

While striving for success in my own endeavours, I learned that collaborating with others can strengthen my knowledge in my field and provide many transferrable skills. Subjects taught include:

• time Management (appointment scheduling),
• interpersonal skills including (but not exclusively) attentive listening (must understand how others’ learn best),
